I grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. I also went to college there where I studied to become a Physical Education teacher (whilst playing professional soccer).
After working in London for 2 years I moved to New York where I taught in the public school system. To cut a long story short, I moved from education to fashion working at Ralph Lauren, J. Crew and GAP as a senior menswear designer. I became a stay at home dad for a few years while my son recovered from a serious medical ailment (all good now!) A casual invitation from a photographer friend of mine to style a Vogue Bambini shoot was my re-entry into the creative world.
I live in Brooklyn with my wife, two kids and our black lab, Mack. I don't play the bagpipes, only have the occasional whisky, still have a strong scottish accent and wear my kilt whenever the opportunity arises (not on set! Too much bending over).
