Mikhael Romain
Mikhael’s affinity for styling emerged when she was fresh out of college working as a
design writer for shelter publications. Asked to join on photo shoots of the houses she
wrote about, Mikhael found she could tell a story visually the same way she did with
words, and fell hard for styling.
Her love for interiors evolved into a career as she began to pursue freelance prop
styling while continuing to write for design publications. Mikhael was later asked to be
an on-staff stylist for Restoration Hardware, where she worked for six years styling the
catalogues and new stores, before going out on her own as a prop stylist and set
designer.
If not on set you will most likely find Mikhael scouring flea markets, estate sales, and
local boutiques, relishing in the hunt to find the perfect pieces. She’s a self-described
perfectionist and a mess-maker, and on the weekends you can find her at home in the
Bay Area with her husband, two daughters, and a hound dog.
